About Pivotdrill
Pivotdrill is pivot table practice exercises with instant checking. It is one of the Dravari drill sites, a family of practice tools built on the same idea: the fastest way to learn a skill you use at a keyboard is to do it, on a live tool, with instant checking, until it is a reflex.
How the exercises work
Read the request: Each task is phrased the way a manager would ask: revenue by region, approved spend by quarter, share of payroll by location. Build the pivot: Add fields to Filters, Columns, Rows and Values, pick Sum, Count or Average, group dates and switch Show values as. The table updates as you go. Learn what was off: Check answer names the problem: a field in the wrong area, Sum where Average was asked, a filter left open, the wrong sort. A hint and a worked setup follow.
Every exercise is checked automatically against the expected result, not against a fixed answer string, so a correct approach passes even when it is written differently from the reference solution. If a check ever seems unfair there is a report link under it, and reports are read.
Who makes it
Pivotdrill is made and operated by Dravari, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company based in Wilmington, Delaware, USA. The sites are built and maintained by a small team; there is no outside funding and no advertising on the practice pages. Revenue comes from Pro subscriptions, which is what keeps the free exercises free.
